The Road To Heaven

     The road to Heaven, or the "Roman Road", can be found in the New Testament, in the book of Romans. It is our "road map" to Heaven.

This road begins in Romans 1:16,  "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God's power for salvation to everyone who believes."  God is the beginning of our journey to Heaven. He gives us all, who ask, the power of salvation. We just have to believe his word.

Adam brought sin into the world, therefore; we all have a problem with sin. God loves us even though we are sinners.

Romans 3:23 states, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  Sin is being out of the will of God and God will not allow sin into Heaven.

When people work they earn money or wages. In the same way, sin earns a wage, that wage is death or hell. However, God so loves us that he has given us a way to avoid this death. Romans 6:23 states,  "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, (Heaven), in Christ Jesus, our Lord."

The road we sinners must continue to follow, is found in Romans 10:9  "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

We need to confess our sins by asking God for forgiveness. Confess that Jesus is Lord and that we need him for our salvation, turning away from the old way of life.

Believe in your heart by faith and trust that Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins

Romans 5:8 "But God commended his love towards us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, just pray this prayer

      "Dear God and Father I confess to you my sins, I need salvation. I will turn away from my sins and put my faith in your son Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life, Amen."

Tell a Christian friend or pastor of your faith in Christ.

Romans 10:17 "Study God's word, Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"
